Search and save task filters

Use global search to locate a record and All Tasks to maintain a focused working list.

These steps refer to controls inside the Mac app, not this website. Guide source: 1.0.0 (128).

  1. Search across the app

In the main window, press ⌘K or click the magnifying glass. Search by project or task name, client, owner, tag, note text or linked file path. Results include projects, stages, components, tasks, files, notes and risks. Use arrow keys and Return to open a result, or Escape to close.

  2. Filter the portfolio task list

Open All Tasks. Choose Today, This Week, Overdue or All, then combine text, Status, Priority, Project, Tag and Owner filters. Overdue excludes completed tasks. Date views use task due dates; undated tasks are easiest to find with All.

  3. Save a useful view

Click Save Filter, give the current query a descriptive name and choose whether to pin it. Pinned filters appear in the sidebar. Reopen them to reuse the stored query; review its date limits because saved date-based queries preserve the dates captured when saved.

  4. Recover missing results

Switch to All and choose Clear filters to remove query restrictions. Check Archive & Recovery if the project was archived or deleted. Global file search matches linked file metadata and paths; it is not a search of document contents or every file on your Mac.
