Find the right section
Open Archive & Recovery in the sidebar. Archive contains archived projects. Recently Deleted Projects contains project deletions. Recently Deleted Items contains separately deleted records such as tasks, time, expenses, notes and file references.
Restore the parent when needed
Choose Restore & Open on a deleted project. Items deleted together with a parent are recovered with that parent and are not listed separately. Independently deleted items are not automatically assumed to be part of a later parent deletion; review them separately.
Restore individual records
Check the item’s project, type and days remaining, then click Restore. If its parent is unavailable, restore the parent first and read any error. Return to the project to verify placement, linked files and totals. Recovery never reconstructs a document deleted outside the app.
Bring an archive back to work
Choose Unarchive & Open for an archived project. Check the Files tab if its folder was moved to _archive; unarchiving the app record does not imply every external folder has been moved back. Export a fresh backup after verifying recovery.
Permanently remove a project
Stop and save any timer or queued entry. In Archive & Recovery, find the project under Archive or Recently Deleted Projects and choose Delete Permanently…. Read the warning, type its name exactly, then choose Delete Permanently. Cancel or Escape leaves it unchanged. All of that project’s app records and file links are removed, including previously deleted items. There is no recovery window for this action. If the project was unarchived elsewhere, archive it again before trying.
Manage remaining copies separately
Permanent deletion never deletes the project folder, source documents, exports or existing backups. Restoring an older backup can bring deleted records back. Manage those copies separately in Finder only when you intend to remove them. This is database record removal, not a secure disk-erasure feature. Saved filters keep their original selections so removing a project does not silently broaden a filter to all projects.

Recover deleted or archived work
Archive finished work, recover ordinary deletions for 30 days, or deliberately remove an archived project permanently. Permanent deletion cannot be undone in the app.
