All-project overview, completion and continuation

See every project’s current status and decide when delivery ends or the next phase begins.

These steps refer to controls inside the Mac app, not this website. Guide source: 1.0.0 (128).

  1. Review all projects together

Choose Projects in the sidebar. Overview is the compact default: each row shows project, status, current work, progress, actual cost, received income and profit. Use Cards for the fuller planning cards. Enable Archived to include archived work in this overview without returning it to active use. Deleted projects remain in Archive & Recovery, not the overview.

  2. Inspect and filter

Click a status count to filter rows, then click it again to clear that status selection. Search and Client filters combine with status. Counts describe the portfolio; rows follow your filters. Click a project name to open its command centre or any amount to open Finance. Amounts are lifetime figures in that project’s currency, never an exchange-rate-converted portfolio sum.

  3. Prepare completion

Finish every live task and subtask. Mark every stage Done, and every component Done or Cancelled. Project progress reaching 100% does not automatically complete the project. In Edit…, select Completed; the readiness message reports any remaining stages, components or tasks. Save is rejected if recorded work is still open. Review risks, invoices and deliverables yourself: those are business decisions, not automatic completion gates.

  4. Choose the right ending

Completed means you deliberately accepted the recorded delivery. Cancelled ends the project without pretending unfinished work was delivered; it does not change individual task statuses. Paused is a temporary status. Archive hides work from everyday screens and has a separate optional folder move. Neither completion nor cancellation deletes app records or documents. Closing a project first stops and saves its running timer; a timer-save failure prevents the status change.

  5. Continue into the next chapter

Open the project → Edit…. Choose Active, then choose Current work: Ongoing development, Promotion, Support or Improvement. Save before adding or reopening work or starting a new timer. Existing stages, tasks, financial records and activity remain. Add a clearly named new stage or tasks for the next phase; historical work is not reset. Current work is a descriptive intention, not a spending classification or an automatic recurring task generator.

  6. Preserve financial meaning

Classify each expense separately as Creation, Promotion, Support or Improvement. A later change of Current work does not reclassify old spending. Paid income remains attached to the same project and its optional task/stage attribution. Reopening does not zero budgets or financial totals; review estimates, dates and budget deliberately.
