Troubleshooting and contacting support

Resolve common problems without risking the only copy of your project data.

These steps refer to controls inside the Mac app, not this website. Guide source: 1.0.0 (128).

  1. Database unavailable or parent not found

If launch shows Project database unavailable or a relationship error such as Stage.projectID parent not found, do not delete default.store, its companion files or the application container. Record the complete message, quit the app, and preserve a copy of the entire application-support data and any backups before repair. Contact support with the error. Help remains available from the Help menu; a database failure intentionally disables editing rather than silently creating an empty database.

  2. Workspace or project folder unavailable

Reconnect the drive and confirm the original folder exists in Finder. Use Re-link Workspace… or Settings → Choose Folder… to grant access again. In the project’s Files tab, use Refresh and then Re-link Folder if necessary. An unavailable workspace is not the same as a missing database; do not create a replacement database or delete the original folder.

  3. Timer entry will not save

Read the timer warning, stop starting new timers, and click Retry Save after resolving the reported problem. Queued entries are retained locally for retry. Discard… permanently abandons that unsaved entry; use it only if you deliberately accept losing the queued duration. Do not restore a backup while a timer or queued write remains unresolved.

  4. Missing data, stale files or unexpected totals

Clear task filters and select All. Check Archive & Recovery. Refresh the Files tab after Finder changes. For financial discrepancies, compare logged minutes, current project rate, expenses, payments and estimates with the Finance formulas in this guide. Record the exact action and error if the problem persists.

  5. Contact support safely

Email support@ipcl.tech with the app version/build from About Project Command Centre, macOS version, Mac model, exact error and reproduction steps. Say whether a folder moved, a drive disconnected, or a timer/restore was active. Redact client names, amounts and paths in screenshots. Do not email databases, workspace archives, receipts, passwords or other confidential documents unless a safe sharing method has been agreed.
